The new home of Hollow Bone
Shele Jeanne Jessee
My name is Shele Jeanne Jessee. My first name comes from a place by the river in Welsh, and both my middle and last names mean “a gift”. One a gift you receive, and the other a gift you give.
I’m honored to share my work and a lifelong passion for making. Riding horses full time and running my online business, I chase my wildest dreams as a horsewoman living in Texas, though I’m a California girl through and through.
Horses are a gift, and I’m deeply in service to them, the cowboy spirit, and the land.
My roots as a maker grew from the primitive skills community and a life woven through ranching in many forms. I believe working with our hands is a powerful way to process our hearts and minds, and I bring all of my experiences and stories to everything I create.

The Saddle Club is my business, a place to share and sell my sustainable creations. I love fashion and believe we all deserve beautiful things made from the finest materials: linen, cotton, wool, silk. I offer sheepskins and leather goods, often salvaging materials from their original industries. In a world full of greenwashing, I aim to tell the real story, where the materials come from and the deeper story behind each object.
I spoke more about the roots of this work, ranching, slow fashion, lineage, and living with intention, in this conversation. Listen here.
